Tá dúil mhór ag Donal sa cheangailt idir bhéaloideas agus tírdhreach, agus is é sin téama a bheidh á fhorbairt aige in a chuid griangrafanna ar an oileán. Is as teaghlach cheolmhar é Donal, agus tá Gaeilge breá líofa aige – mar sin, bíonn sé ag obair mar cheamaradóir, do chomhlachtaí neamhspleácha ag déanamh cláranna do TG4, agus ITMA go minic.

Donal Glackin, a Cameraman and Photographer originally from Dublin but currently based in Galway, has established himself as a prominent figure in the field. His journey into the world of photography began during his teenage years in Dublin, where he developed a strong passion for the art form. This passion led him to pursue formal education in photography at DIT. Since graduating, Glackin has been actively involved in filming documentaries for both TG4 and RTE, showcasing his skills behind the camera. Additionally, he has taken on numerous photographic commissions, further demonstrating his versatility and proficiency in his craft. Glackin draws inspiration from various aspects of Irish culture, including its music, landscape, and people. His work reflects a deep appreciation for the natural world, coupled with a curiosity for wildlife and a penchant for exploration. This love for discovery drives him to constantly seek out new places and experiences, enriching his portfolio with diverse imagery. A hallmark of Glackin’s work is his meticulous attention to detail, evident in every photograph he captures. He approaches each project with a desire to encapsulate not just the visual beauty of a scene but also the essence of the moment. For him, the pursuit of the perfect shot is not just about the end result but also about the exhilarating process of capturing it.
